Job Description

Banquet and Event Leadership overseeing daily events.
Target start date August 3 - 14th.
Availability with day, evening, weekend, and holiday availability.
STRONG leadership, communication, and a guest-focused mindset are required.
Peak Season (February-May, September-November) Full Time
Off-Season (January, June-August, December) Part-Time

KEY SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Master of Banquets: Lead the charge in setting up, servicing, and breaking down epic banquet events, all while making sure every detail matches the Banquet Event Orders.
  • Style & Safety Guru: Keep the team looking sharp and working smart, upholding top-notch standards in appearance, service, and safety. You’re also the go-to for policy and liquor law know-how!
  • Team Dynamo: Rally the crew, assign tasks, run pre-event huddles, and help train new recruits to be the best in the biz.
  • Guest Happiness Hero: Bridge the gap between Sales, Catering, and guests, swooping in to solve problems, complaints, and keep accidents at bay.
  • Operations Whiz & Money Maestro: Juggle schedules, crunch wage reports, keep inventory in check, and oversee beverage service—all while handling checks, paperwork, and cash with impressive finesse.
  • Multi-Tasking Marvel & Trusted Ally: Lend a hand with A/V, attend meetings, help out wherever needed, manage “Lost and Found” mysteries, and keep sensitive areas secure—always representing the company with integrity and flair.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 1 year progressive experience in a hotel or related field required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in hospitality or a related field is a plus
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Alcohol Awareness Certification (must comply with state regulations)
  • Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and demonstrate initiative
  • Strong proficiency in financial tasks and arithmetic.
