Lutron’s Construction Design and Development Program (CDDP) offers a dynamic rotational experience designed to prepare you for success in the Commercial Projects and Services Department. This program is ideal for creative, detail-oriented individuals who are passionate about designing and managing innovative commercial projects. In a fast-paced, collaborative environment, you will gain hands-on experience across multiple roles, allowing you to explore your interests and develop a well-rounded skill set.
What you will do:
Participate in a rigorous rotational experience consisting of classroom learning and on the job training
Learn the construction process: design, estimating, project management, execution, and owner turnover
Develop skills in reading construction drawings, creating designs, and programming systems
Communicate with architects, engineers, contractors, and sales team members to support Lutron's business goals
Build personal relationships with leadership in Lutron’s Commercial Project business
Complete training and join one of our commercial projects and service teams
Rotations:
Specification Services: Create preliminary designs for domestic and international new construction projects
Estimating Lighting Controls & Automated Shades: Strategically price lighting control & automated shade projects and create bid documents to win jobs
Commercial Project Management: Manage projects from final design through commissioning
Field Service: Travel to commercial job sites to program lighting and shading systems

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the following areas of study: Architecture & Design, Architecture Engineering, Business/Business Management, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and/or related fields of study
Minimum, cumulative 3.00 GPA for each degree earned
0-3 years of experience in a related field
You are authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require Lutron to sponsor you for any work visa, such as an H-1B, either immediately or at any time in the future. Lutron does not offer work visa sponsorship for this position.
Willing and available to work on-site 5 days per week
