Job description

The Engineering Accelerated Development Program is “hosted” by the Global Supply Chain Organizational Development Department and employees will work out of our Rochester, Pennsylvania location and will begin the program either January or July 2027.

Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Opportunity to work/lead projects that may include:
    • Capital (CAPEX) projects
    • Updating the site’s process/value stream map
    • Creating and submitting FCAs
    • Continuous Improvement and Cost Savings Projects
    • Project leadership
  • Green Belt Training and Certification
  • Investigation of new plant engineering processes and techniques  
    • New installations and facility revisions  
    • Developing drawings and specifications for equipment layout  
  • Exposure to different areas within the Engineering function: Process, Controls, Robotics, RX, Continuous Improvement, Innovations, and Design
  • Manufacturing operations hands-on experience
  • Mentorship during and after the program
  • Rotating site visits 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements 

  • Must have a degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering at the start of this development program  
  • Be willing to relocate, as required, upon completion of the Accelerated Development Program  
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.  
  • Must be legally authorized to work in a country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future.  

 

Preferred Requirements 

  • Experience with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Previous Internship/Co-op experience within Sherwin-Williams.  
  • Previous internship or co-op experience in the Sherwin-Williams Global Supply Chain Division  
  • Leadership experience as demonstrated by your involvement in extracurricular activities on campus or in the community
