Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform all material handling and control operations for Shipping and Receiving
- Operate company vehicle to make pick-ups and deliveries of material between local community and plant (seldom over 5 mile radius)
- Use mechanized and manual material handling aids as necessary to transport and position material following established methods and procedures
- Locate and identify items. Count and/or verify count as necessary. Stack items on pallets or load into bins as required
- Receive incoming materials such as compounds, wire, and store for future use
- Transport, move and handle material within department as required
- Exercise care in handling and stacking items to avoid injuries to others, damages to supplies, product or equipment
- Check fuel, lubricate, and coolant in equipment
- Detect and report defective material, faulty operation and unusual conditions to supervision
- Follow prescribed Safety Regulations
- Assists with all/any other projects as required
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Working knowledge of MRP Systems (preferably Oracle)
- Experience in warehouse processes
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Ability to stand, twist and bend up to 50% of the time
- Strong organizational skills. Excellent attention to detail
