Job description

AIRLINE FOOD & EQUIPMENT COORDINATOR

Pay Rate: up to $21.00 hourly

Hiring Immediately! MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE!

CANDIDATES MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK ANY DAY OF THE WEEK.

LSG Sky Chefs with over 75 years of Catering history is hiring immediately for Full time team players to prepare products for our Airlines, we are the world's leading provider of end-to-end airline products and services with fast growing footprint in Convenience Retail and Subscription Food Service.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

  • picking up the flight schedules for specific airline from dispatch. 
  • Look/collect final information count to include flight number, type of aircraft, configuration and type of service. 
  • Locate flights and final/pack specific items on the meal carts. 
  • Add/check ice cream, condiments, hot entree, check special meals, crew, flight completion and temperature taking before finalizing flight. 
  • Identify all discrepancies, inform supervisor and ensure that all missing items are placed on the flight. 
  • Communicate any problems with the flight to dispatch. 
  • Hand over Flight to Flight crew out on the AOA. 
  • Perform additional duties as needed. Must adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines. 
  • Ability to interpret and comprehend Menu and Flight Galley Specifications. 
  • Follows all Ramp Safety and AOA Safety and Security Rules and Regulations.

JOB SKILLS OR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
  • Must be minimum age of 21 years or older
  • Must be able to work in extreme heat and/or cold environment/ work inside refrigerated areas
  • Must be able to walk/stoop/ bend/ stand for entire work shift
  • Must have good organizational skills and adaptable to frequent changes
  • Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be able to use fingers & hands to handle equipment
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
  • Must have experience driving large delivery trucks
  • Must successfully complete on-the-job driver training program
  • Must possess interpersonal, communication and customer service skills with a profession appearance and attitude
  • Must possess basic math skills
  • Must be able to apply safety standards
  • Must be able to use mobile shelving, carts, ramps, and related airline catering equipment
  • Must be flexible to work in a 24/7 environment which includes nights, weekends and holidays subject to change due to shift bidding
  • Must be able to pass a 10-year FBI criminal background check to obtain airport SIDA/AOA badge and Customs Seal
