Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Move merchandise using hand jacks and other material handling equipment.
- Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, and hand jacks, for up to 95% of the workday.
- Select and prepare customer orders to ensure complete and accurate fulfillment.
- Receive inbound products accurately and maintain proper documentation.
- Apply pallet tags and other identifying labels to materials upon receipt.
- Transport products and materials from receiving areas to storage locations or other designated areas.
- Place inventory on racks, shelves, or bins according to established slot assignments.
- Rotate stock to ensure older inventory is readily accessible and used first.
- Read pick tickets, labels, or on-screen instructions to assemble customer orders and stage them on pallets.
- Load trailers with merchandise scheduled for shipment.
- Record and maintain inventory and operational data as required.
- Perform all tasks in accordance with the company's zero-error policy.
- Meet or exceed productivity standards and service-level expectations.
- Follow all applicable safety guidelines, government regulations, company policies, and safe work practices.
- Conduct routine inspections of material handling equipment and maintain appropriate fluid levels to support safe and efficient operation.
- Perform work in a manner that prevents damage to company products, equipment, and facilities.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization at all times.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer requests and inquiries to ensure satisfaction.
- Treat all internal and external customers with respect, courtesy, and professionalism.
- Support and uphold company policies, values, and standards.
- Take responsibility for understanding how individual and team actions impact customers and the overall success of the company.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations as outlined in the Employee Handbook and other company communications.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support business needs and company objectives.
