The Office of Juvenile Justice is seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Coordinator 3 – WAE to provide high-level administrative support to the Lieutenant Colonel within a secure-care environment. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, dependable, and comfortable managing a wide range of clerical and operational tasks.

Position Duties

Two years of experience in administrative services.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Job Duties:

As an Administrative Coordinator 3, you’ll process departmental paperwork, maintain logs and databases, support document imaging operations, and prepare purchasing requisitions. You’ll compile information from various sources to create specialized reports and ensure all documents meet agency formatting standards. You’ll also serve as a clerical assistant to the Lieutenant Colonel, managing schedules, preparing travel, issuing directives, and helping streamline administrative operations. Additional responsibilities may include assisting with property control, safety functions, and other traditional administrative tasks.

  • Provides departmental program support — performs initial administrative duties in accordance with agency rules, regulations, and policies; communicates with internal departments and external customers as needed.

  • Processes paperwork and maintains logs — enters data into departmental systems, maintains logs, and ensures routine documentation is completed accurately and on time.

  • Supports document imaging operations — develops imaging procedures, maintains imaging logs, and may serve as lead worker for imaging staff.

  • Manages purchasing requisitions — prepares supply requisitions, enters purchasing information into automated systems, and supports procurement workflow.

  • Compiles and formats reports — gathers information from multiple sources, prepares specialized reports, and formats documents according to departmental standards.

  • Provides direct administrative support — assists the Lieutenant Colonel with scheduling, travel preparation, issuing directives, and relieving them of administrative matters.

  • Supports traditional administrative functions — may assist with property control, purchasing, safety tasks, and other administrative responsibilities as assigned.

Work Location: This vacancy is located at Bridge City Center for Youth in Bridge City, Louisiana. 
Appointment Type: WAE/Part time
Compensation: $18/hr
