This is a remote position.

The Opportunity

At Pentoz, we’re creating powerful, accessible mobile experiences — and hybrid technologies are central to our scalable delivery model. As an Adobe PhoneGap Developer, you’ll play a key role in converting modern web technologies into efficient, app-store-ready mobile products using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and the PhoneGap/Cordova framework.

This role is perfect for developers who bridge the gap between web and mobile, and are ready to launch multi-platform apps with speed and precision.

You Will Be Responsible For

  • Cross-Platform App Development: Building and deploying mobile applications using Adobe PhoneGap (Cordova) for both Android and iOS

  • Web-to-Mobile Conversion: Transforming responsive web apps into fully functional hybrid mobile applications

  • Plugin Management: Integrating native features (camera, push notifications, geolocation, etc.) via Cordova/PhoneGap plugins

  • API Integration: Connecting mobile apps to RESTful services, databases, and third-party tools (Firebase, Stripe, etc.)

  • UI/UX Optimization: Delivering smooth user experiences with adaptive layouts and responsive design tailored for mobile devices

  • Testing & Deployment: Using emulators, device testing, and App Store / Play Store deployment processes for seamless publishing

This Role Is For You If

  • You have 2–5+ years of experience in hybrid app development using PhoneGap, Cordova, or Ionic

  • You are highly proficient in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery

  • You’ve published at least one hybrid app on Google Play or Apple App Store

  • You understand device APIs, native plugin architecture, and mobile performance tuning

  • You’re comfortable with mobile-first design and responsive development best practices

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Experience with Adobe PhoneGap Build (cloud-based compiler)

  • Knowledge of native plugin development (Objective-C, Java) for PhoneGap

  • Familiarity with Ionic, Capacitor, or React Native

  • Skills in mobile security, offline storage, or progressive web apps (PWA)

  • Past work migrating from PhoneGap to more modern stacks (Flutter, React Native, etc.)
