About the Role
This role is responsible for leading product validation activities within project teams using external laboratories (ISO 17025). You will ensure validation is completed on time, meets customer requirements, and aligns with project milestones.
The role includes close coordination with cross-functional teams, managing suppliers, and supporting continuous improvement. You will also identify risks and ensure timely escalation when needed.
This is an individual contributor role working in a global environment.
What You Will Do
Lead validation activities through external labs (planning, execution, coordination)
Define and manage DVP&R and validation plans
Review and align customer specifications and validation requirements
Set up DUT testing and ensure proper test execution and monitoring
Manage lab suppliers and ensure test quality and compliance
Analyze test results and lead problem-solving activities
Distinguish DUT-related failures from setup or environmental issues
Prepare and review validation reports and documentation
Coordinate with internal teams and customers to ensure timely delivery
Support design reviews and development activities
Identify risks and escalating issues when needed
Share best practices and improve validation processes
What You Need to Be Successful
- 7+ years Experience in Environmental, EMC, and Electrical testing within Automotive
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, Physics, or equivalent experience.
- Familiar with ISO 17025 labs and supplier management
- Knowledge of automotive electronics systems
- Understanding of CAN, Ethernet, or similar protocols
- Advanced programming knowledge and experience (e.g., Python, C/C++, LabVIEW)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good project management and communication skills
- Ability to work with global and cross-functional teams
Bonus Points if You Have
- Strong knowledge of automotive quality tools and processes, including PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and APQP.
- Proficiency in structured problem-solving and analytical methodologies.
- Good understanding of product reliability engineering and design simulation tools.
- Hands-on experience with automotive test equipment (e.g., data acquisition systems, oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, etc.).
- Experience working in global and cross-cultural teams.
- Familiarity with statistical analysis and continuous improvement tools.
- Established connections with external organizations within automotive or quality domains is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard engineering productivity tools.
