Job Description

As a SENIOR Agent Systems Engineer at Alix, you’ll be responsible to build, monitor, debug, and evolve agents. You will work to improve their performance and workflows across Alix agentic departments, and you will be ensuring that agents are built and operate with reliability and context. You will build operational flows within a defined working entity or “department” in the Alix agentic eco-system. You'll work with cutting-edge tools and will be versed in agent led programming and be highly skilled in Python and/or JS, etc. You will work to build and maintain core systems essential to our AI-native organization.

Position Overview

This role is central to our AI-native engineering team. We are seeking people who can excel in this role, lead or contribute to build, monitor, debug, and evolve agents lifecycle and workflows across Alix agentic departments, while proactively addressing the needs described below. You will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to drive innovation in estate settlement automation.

What You'll Do

  • Ensure agents are built and operate with reliability and context. Lead and build the operational flows within a defined working entity or “department” within the Alix agentic eco-system..

  • Apply tools like Python, JS, etc. in daily workflows and architecture decisions.

  • Use tools like Cursor, Warp, and other agentic tools to solve and produce working agents rapidly.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including AI research, product, and infrastructure.

  • Participate in iterative planning, feedback, and deployment cycles.

Who You Are

  • A SENIOR proactive engineer or technical leader with deep experience in your domain.

  • You've written AI Agents and you've solved business problems with AI, idealy, you've worked for an "AI Native" company in which the business is AI Centric and humans support the AI Organization.

  • Being highly skilled in understanding software development theories, and problems as they relate to business needs is your most valuable trait.

  • You thrive in ambiguity and bring clarity through strong communication and technical insights.

  • You have experience building systems in a high-paced, agile, and AI-forward environment.

  • You’re comfortable experimenting with new frameworks and collaborating cross-functionally.

  • You will have opinions on approaches but not religion. You will bring teamwork and not ego to building on and maintaining the Alix agentic operations.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Alix product team to build agents that solve / deliver on jobs that are required for the automation of estate settlement.

  • Define and execute strategies for your domain of responsibility.

  • Monitor performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure reliable agent function.

  • Document tools, architecture, and decisions to foster team collaboration and onboarding.
