About Global Payment
The Global Payment team of ByteDance provides payment solutions - including payment acquisitions, disbursements, transaction monitoring, payment method management, foreign exchange conversion, accounting, reconciliations, and so on to ensure that our users have a smooth and secure payment experience on ByteDance platforms including TikTok.
We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship. Our internship program offers students hands-on experience, industry exposure, and opportunities to apply their knowledge to real-world challenges while building a strong foundation for personal and professional growth.
Interns will gain practical experience, explore potential career paths, and participate in social events, learning programs, and development workshops alongside industry professionals.

Responsibilities
- Design and develop machine learning algorithms to combat financial compliance risks and identify potential compliance issues, uncover potential emerging risks.
- Focus on live streaming, e-commerce, and other business scenarios, exploring new paradigms for financial security in internet-based contexts.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI, Generative AI, LLM, and VLM. Improve compliance operation review efficiency
- Explore the application and implementation of cutting-edge research such as large language models, graph neural networks, and multimodal techniques in financial risk scenarios.
- Work with datasets for image processing, text analysis, and multimodal model training.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree in computer science, computer engineering, statistics, applied mathematics, data science or other related disciplines;
- Experienced in AI modeling, familiar with at least one framework of TensorFlow / PyTorch / MXNet;
- Has good learning and communication skills, a strong sense of curiosity and responsibility, a spirit of exploration, and self-motivation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Published relevant papers in high-level international conferences and academic journals (including but not limited to CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NIPS, ICML, AAAI, TPAMI, IJCV, etc.), or won awards in high-level competitions
- Relevant internship experience with hands on exposure to the tech stack
- Interested in payment industry
