Delphi’s Safety Electronics group pioneered the sensors, software, and systems that empower Adaptive Cruise Control, Collision Warning, Emergency Brake Assist, and Lane Keeping systems widely available to consumers today; and we continue to stretch the technology envelope with 360-degree sensing and advanced algorithms that are piloting automated vehicles.
The advanced product development team in Agoura Hills is looking for talented engineers to help maintain Delphi’s technological lead in automotive active safety systems and to answer the challenges posed by the increasing demand for more-automated driving.
Selected candidates will advance the state-of-the-art in situational assessment and motion planning, where the key challenge is to optimally fuse multiple sources of information, comprehend and predict the situation, accurately assess the risk and threats present, and inform the decision and guidance subsystems. Responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with experts in perception, sensor fusion, object tracking, estimation and control, and software/systems engineering
- Design, implement, and document novel algorithms to improve capability and safety of assisted/autonomous driving systems
- Validate and critically assess algorithm performance on real and synthetic data
- Support vehicle integration and on-road testing and data collection efforts
