Capstone Precision Group is seeking a full-time Ammo Loading Machine Operator to be based in our Mesa, AZ facility.


JOB SUMMARY


The Operator position will be responsible for maintaining the machine output levels while performing quality checks. The position responsibilities consist of machine operations, parts preparation, loading of components, parts inspections, maintenance, and quality inspections.


 


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES


1.      Follow all safety and HESS policies.


2.      Must be able to read and follow written and verbal instructions.


3.      Must have strong working knowledge of basic computer programs and data entry skills.


4.      Must have strong mathematical skills (demonstrate at interview)


5.      Will be expected to operate and maintain current machine output levels.


6.      Maintain extensive daily logs and performance charts.


7.      Accurately identify incoming material and outgoing product.


8.      Knowledge of defects and ability to see them for adjusting the machine and troubleshooting


9.      Ability to use a scale and calipers accurately and correctly, (demonstrate at interview)


10.  Using the 5S Principals, must maintain a clean and organized department. Do daily, weekly, and monthly PMs on machines and repairs as needed.


11.  Being able to work with supply chain to get needed parts as well as being a team player.


 


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

1.      High School diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required


2.      Must have basic industrial maintenance knowledge (will be tested at interview)


3.      Ability to accurately read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance check sheets, and procedure manuals.


4.      Ability to work with and learn from coworkers in all departments for training and cross training as required.


5.      Experience running industrial machinery in a factory setting is a must. Operating ammo loading equipment is preferred.


6.      The ability to work independently or in a group is necessary. Management experience is a plus.


 


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

1.      Must be able to lift 50 pounds from floor level to chest height.


2.      Must be able to stand for 3-hour duration.


3.      Must be able to kneel, stoop, and bend continuously through a 3-hour duration.


4.      Must be able to reach out and over equipment for short periods of time.


5.      Must be able to lift hands above shoulder height multiple times throughout the 10-hour shift.


6.      Must be able to push, dump, and spread material at waist height multiple times throughout the   10-hour shift.

 The work is primarily performed in a typical production environment. Wear safety attire or protective gear, may be exposed to distracting noise levels, may work within a few feet of other workers. For the most part ambient room temperatures and lighting as found in a typical factory environment.Overtime will be required for this position at times based on production needs.
