Job Summary

• Designs and develops logical data models and supporting database objects to meet identified user needs.  

General Accountability

• Identifies the information and/or data that are necessary to develop efficient, cost-effective application systems. 
• Develops, produces, and documents logical and physical database designs. 
• Develops data quality standards and data security policies. 
• Reviews and analyzes existing database designs to identify and resolve possible performance issues or limitations. 
• Provides assistance on the design and integration of databases and applications. 
• Interfaces with product managers to research and propose solutions to business problems. 
• Performs capacity planning to project future hardware and software needs. 
• Understands emerging technologies and recommends ways to utilize them to improve business systems and technology infrastructure. 
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
