CGI was recognised in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work List 2023 and has been named one of the ‘World’s Best Employers’ by Forbes magazine. We offer a competitive salary, excellent pension, private healthcare, plus a share scheme (3.5% + 3.5% matching) which makes you a member not just an employee. We are committed to inclusivity, building a genuinely diverse community of tech talent and inspiring everyone to pursue careers in our sector, including our Armed Forces, and are proud to hold a Gold Award in recognition of our support of the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant. Join us and you’ll be part of an open, friendly community of experts. We’ll train and support you in taking your career wherever you want it to go.

The Space, Defence and Intelligence business unit in CGI is a true IT Systems Integrator. We work, build, and operate bespoke, technically complex, mission-critical systems which help our clients keep us all safe and secure. We bring innovation to our clients using proven and emerging technologies, agile delivery processes and our deep expertise across the breadth of space, defence, intelligence, aerospace and maritime, all underpinned by our end-to-end cyber capability. We work collaboratively with global technology companies, cutting edge SMEs and academia to deliver the optimal solution for each client.

We are looking for experienced architects to support solutions developed with our customers. You will be joining an existing architecture team, working on innovation projects across the space and defence domains.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Solution Architects:
You will be responsible for analysis of requirements to determine, assess and select the best solution and technology options for our clients. Day to day you will provide leadership for the delivery of the solution and provide guidance to our clients to ensure value is realised for their objectives whilst creating hands-on insight for complex solution options working alongside our development teams.

You will also identify emerging risk and cost issues or opportunities and formulate responsive strategies and work with our Agile delivery teams, providing guidance, standards and constraints to ensure the objectives and quality standards of our clients are met.

Technical Architects:
You will leverage your technical expertise, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure alignment with project goals to establish a high-performing and future-ready IT environment. Your technical acumen and strategic vision will be key to achieving success.

Enterprise Architects:
You will be responsible for defining and controlling the solution and system architecture (including models, decisions, validation, evolution, and delivery support), working with the customer and any subcontractors to identify, trade-off and design the overall architecture.
You will also assist with the overall strategy and business chase activities, working with multiple stakeholders as well as creating high level artefacts to be delivered to the customer.

Our architects work hand-in-hand with our clients teams, fostering synergy, knowledge-sharing and dynamic problem-solving. Take a leap towards architectural excellence and help us build a future that's secure and scalable.
