This position is at Rutgers- New Jersey Medical School (NJMS) in Newark, NJ. Posting Summary
The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Health at Rutgers – New Jersey Medical School has full time positions available at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, depending on experience, for Board Certified or Board Eligible Physicians, as a generalist specialist in the Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology. Family Planning Specialists are welcomed to apply to the position. Hospitalist, laborist and nocturnist options can be considered for these roles, depending on the candidate.
The generalist will treat diseases and disorders of the female reproductive system, as well as caring for women during the prenatal, in labor, and postnatal periods. The generalist will perform all aspects of generalist OB/GYN practice including cesarean delivery, hysterectomy, and all standard outpatient OB/GYN procedures.
The practice is based at University Hospital using the renovated labor floor, the Ambulatory Care Center and other sites associated with Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. The practice is fully integrated in the teaching mission of the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School with faculty appointments in the medical school. The scope and breath of the faculty’s clinical activities promote professional interests while covering the clinical needs of the service and the educational mission. Professional interests in global health, clinical research, patient safety/quality and addiction medicine are encouraged. Leadership opportunities are available commensurate with experience and interest.

Minimum Education and Experience
New Jersey Medical License.
