Job description

Bennett Aerospace Inc, a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, has an opening for a Associate Engineer I - Image Analysis / IT / Laboratory Technical Support at the Kennedy Space Center, Florida.

Position Responsibilities:

Image Analysis, Imagery & CAD

  • Perform 2-D/3-D motion analysis using ProAnalyst, TEMA, TrackEye, or similar software; support image analysis of standard, high-speed, and infrared imagery.
  • Operate, test, maintain, and evaluate imagery systems; apply photography principles including resolution, focal length, field of view, f-stop, shutter speed, and exposure.
  • Perform video editing and image manipulation using DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and similar tools.
  • Navigate CAD systems to extract X, Y, Z coordinates, dimensions, distances, and other technical data; support basic design/modification using MAYA (Autodesk), Creo, and SolidWorks.

IT, Data & Software Systems

  • Manage laboratory computers, servers, workstations, data storage, backup/recovery, access controls, and related IT infrastructure.
  • Perform hardware/software installation, upgrades, configuration, troubleshooting, system monitoring, and IT asset management.
  • Manage software licenses, renewals, procurement, installations, configurations, vendors, costs, and applicable IT security requirements.
  • Conduct technology research and coordinate with IT and laboratory personnel to implement and maintain reliable, secure systems, including UPS-connected equipment.
  • Maintain technical documentation and support development and maintenance of internal laboratory software/tools.

Laboratory, Equipment, Materials & Facility Support

  • Perform and coordinate preventive/corrective maintenance, equipment setup, troubleshooting, inspections, repairs, relocation, and operational readiness; maintain calibrated test equipment including power supplies, multimeters, and function generators.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, work areas, supplies, consumables, spare parts, safety resources, and inventories; ensure proper storage, documentation, condition, and expiration of materials, chemicals, and equipment, and coordinate disposal/excessing and hazardous-waste activities.
  • Support laboratory safety inspections, walkdowns, corrective actions, property audits, inventories, hazardous-waste handling, and inclement-weather/hurricane preparations.
  • Coordinate facility maintenance, equipment installation, repairs, UPS systems, laboratory power infrastructure, power connections, and power cables/COTS components with appropriate personnel.
  • Support laboratory purchasing, market research, procurement, budgeting, and equipment/software acquisition; maintain documentation supporting operations, audits, safety, property accountability, IT/security, inspections, and procedures using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

 Position Requirements: 

  • BS degree in IT or related field plus five or more (5+) years of progressive and hands on experience.
  • Experience with image analysis, 2-D/3-D motion analysis, photography, standard/high-speed/infrared cameras, video editing, and CAD.
  • Strong IT troubleshooting, system configuration, computer/server/workstation support, data management, software licensing, and technology procurement skills.
  • Experience with laboratory equipment maintenance, calibration, test/measurement equipment, safety, property, inventory, and environmental requirements.

 Preferred Experience

  • ProAnalyst, TEMA, TrackEye; DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro; MAYA, Creo, SolidWorks; laboratory servers/data storage/backup/access control; internal software development; and launch/field imagery support.
  • UPS and laboratory power systems and NASA/KSC laboratory operations, safety, property, or facilities processes.

 

Security Requirements:

Security Clearance Level: Secret

  • Applicants selected will be subject to a Government background investigation and must meet eligibility and suitability requirements.
  • Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance.
  • Successful Pass of Bennett Aerospace Background Investigation, Drug Screening and Credit Check.

This position is located at the Kennedy Space Center, Florida.

The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $75,000
