Job description

We are seeking a full-time Associate Internet Application Developer for our headquarters in the greater Kansas City area. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, debugging and improving existing software applications in a collaborative team environment. Essential Functions Provide “tier 3” application support to Product Support managed software applications Determine root cause of reported issues and develop data, application and/or process improvements to address them Develop application patches, bug fixes, and enhancements to resolve customer and business issues Work with Company’s internal customer base to communicate status and resolution on software application issues Maintain, debug and work collaboratively in a team to improve existing software applications written in Java, C++, C#, Visual Basic, SQL, PHP, PL/SQL or other selected languages Review existing code, troubleshoot and modify applications to debug or enhance Identify and resolve problems of basic scope using proper tools and techniques Troubleshoot basic tasks without assistance and troubleshoot moderate complexity tasks with minimal assistance from peers Interact with internal and external (non-Product Support) associates to gather specific requirements related to software issues With assistance from peers, work directly with stakeholders to understand business goals and think of technical solutions that enable those goals Apply standards and procedures to accomplish tasks, learn how to use and apply appropriate tools, and thoroughly document work in an organized manner Participate in project definition activities including feature analysis/system tradeoffs, recommend improvements to existing applications, and may be responsible for planning own technical work Basic Qualifications Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business or related field OR an equivalent combination of education and experience Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule) Demonstrated ability to learn how to use and apply applicable technologies and demonstrated ability to learn and understand secure coding practices Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Desired Qualifications Outstanding academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.5) Exposure and familiarity with Agile software processes Company International is an equal opportunity employer.
