Job description

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

  • Load and unload parts into blast units manually or with a forklift.
  • Operate blast system to remove scale, rust, and paint from metal parts.
  • Adjust machine settings for cycle time or abrasive flow rate.
  • Keep units at the proper media fill levels.
  • Inspect surfaces before and after blasting to ensure they meet quality and finish specifications.
  • Accurately complete production records.
  • Move parts after blasting to the paint department for coating.
  • Perform daily and routine preventative maintenance. Help with other maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Must exhibit a high level of safety consciousness and a clear understanding of equipment safety.
  • Must be dependable and report to work on time.
