Position Description:

CGI is seeking an experienced Senior Informatica / AWS Data Engineer to support complex data integration and data processing solutions within a large scale financial services environment. This role is well suited for a hands on engineer with deep Informatica experience, strong SQL skills, and practical experience working with AWS data services.

We partner with 15 of the top 20 banks globally, and our top 10 banking clients have worked with us for an average of 26 years!.
This role is located at a client site in either Knoxville, TN, Columbia SC or Lafayette, LA or Birmingham, AL. A hybrid working model is acceptable. 






Your future duties and responsibilities:

CGI is seeking an experienced Senior Informatica / AWS Data Engineer to support complex data integration and data processing solutions within a large-scale financial services environment. This role is well suited for a hands-on engineer with deep Informatica experience, strong SQL skills, and practical experience working with AWS data services.
The successful candidate will analyze complex business and technical requirements, develop and enhance data integration components, and support applications throughout the development lifecycle. The role will work with Informatica, AWS, Python, SQL, Unix/Linux, and Redshift technologies to deliver reliable and scalable data solutions.
Key responsibilities include:

. Analyze complex business and technical requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
. Develop, enhance, test, implement, and support Informatica based data integration solutions.
. Write and optimize complex SQL queries used for data processing, transformation, and analysis.
. Develop and maintain Unix/Linux shell scripts supporting data workflows and batch processing.
. Work with AWS services including Lambda, SNS, and SQS to support cloud based data processing and application integrations.
. Develop and maintain Python code supporting data processing and automation needs.
. Work with Amazon Redshift and Redshift Spectrum for large scale data processing and querying.
. Troubleshoot production and application issues and perform root cause analysis.
. Follow established development, testing, security, quality, and compliance standards.
. Collaborate with technical and business teams in a fast paced environment where priorities and requirements may evolve..







Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

. 5+ years of Informatica experience, including hands on development and support of complex data integration solutions.
. Strong proficiency with Informatica and enterprise ETL/data integration processes.
. Advanced SQL skills, including experience writing and troubleshooting complex queries.
. Strong Unix/Linux and shell scripting experience.
. 3+ years of hands-on AWS experience, particularly with Lambda, SNS, and SQS.
. Working knowledge of Python for data processing, scripting, or automation.
. Hands on experience with Amazon Redshift and Redshift Spectrum.
. Experience troubleshooting complex data and application issues in enterprise environments.
. Understanding of software development, testing, deployment, security, and production support practices.
. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
. Comfortable working in an environment with changing requirements and priorities.

Desired SKillset:

. Experience with AutoSys for enterprise job scheduling.
. Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.
. Additional hands on experience with AWS data and integration services.
. Previous experience supporting large scale financial services or regulated industry data environments.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.​

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $97,300.00 $156,700.00.
