About the Role
Hirvix is looking for a skilled Backend Engineer to design, develop, and optimize the core backend services that power our platform. You’ll work closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to build high-performance and scalable systems. Our primary stack includes Python, PostgreSQL, and AWS.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and RESTful APIs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to turn business requirements into technical solutions.
Optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues.
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices.
Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.
Document systems and share technical knowledge across the team.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Minimum 2 years of backend development experience using Python.
Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills in English (additional European languages are a plus).
Nice to Have
Experience with asynchronous programming and message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka).
Understanding of backend security best practices.
Knowledge of GraphQL.
Contributions to open-source projects.
