Controls Opportunity: BAS Graphics & Programming Specialist

eagle Controls is seeking qualified professionals to join our Controls team. eagle Controls uses the most advanced, user-friendly automation systems in the market. eagle designs, builds, programs and commissions building automation system projects for new or existing construction across a variety of markets.

IMI’s acquisition of eagle Controls in 2018 helped complete our unique offering of beginning-to-end mechanical system delivery. eagle Controls is headquartered in Chesterfield, MO and has offices in Granite City, IL, Nashville, TN, and Charlotte, NC.

We are currently looking for a Business Automation System (BAS) Graphics & Programming Specialist to join our Controls team located at our office in Chesterfield, MO. Our ideal candidate is someone who has 2+ years of experience and is a detail-oriented, tech-savvy professional with a strong foundation in BAS graphics development and programming, and a passion for creating intuitive, high-quality user experiences. The BAS Graphics & Programming Specialist is responsible for developing, programming, and delivering high-quality building automation system (BAS) solutions, with a strong focus on system graphics, user interface design, and control logic programming.

This role plays a critical part in shaping the end-user experience, ensuring systems are not only functional—but intuitive, visually engaging, and world class.

 

Primary responsibilities for eagle’s BAS Graphics & Programming Specialist include:

  • Designing and developing high-quality BAS graphics, dashboards, and 3D floorplans using Autodesk Revit that deliver an intuitive and consistent user experience.
  • Creating user-friendly interfaces for facility operators while establishing and maintaining graphics standards, templates, and libraries across platforms.
  • Programming and developing BAS solutions using platforms such as Delta Controls, Tridium Niagara (N4), and Distech Controls.
  • Configuring controllers, databases, and system architecture, including implementing control graphics for HVAC systems (VAVs, RTUs, AHUs, chillers, boilers).
  • Integrating third-party systems using protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and other communication standards.
  • Collaborating with field technicians and project managers to ensure accurate device integration and proper system functionality.
  • Supporting commissioning efforts through system testing, remote updates, adjustments, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintaining programming standards and documentation, supporting end-user training, and contributing to continuous improvement, innovation, and internal demo environments.

Primary qualifications for eagle’s BAS Graphics & Programming Specialist include:

  • 2+ years of experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS/BMS), including development of system graphics such as floorplans, equipment graphics, and dashboards.
  • Experience with at least one BAS platform, such as Delta Controls, Tridium Niagara (N4), or Distech Controls.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC system operations and control strategies.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Familiarity with BACnet, Modbus, IP-based integrations, and multi-platform BAS environments is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a design/UI mindset and solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; relevant certifications (e.g., Niagara N4, Delta Controls) are a plus.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
