Essential Functions:

- Evaluates, manages and provides support in the delivery of quality clinical care of patients with cardiac implantable devices.
- Interpretation and triage of rhythm strips for the identification of urgent arrhythmias.
- Demonstrates knowledge of pacemakers, implantable loop recorders and ICDs, their programming and metrics.
- Specialized in health care procedures and how electrical medical devices function.
- Critical thinking skills
- Performs independent daily review of remote ECG transmission
- Correlates information with the clinical condition of patients to assist in the management of arrhythmias.
- Efficient in software systems used in remote device monitoring and management.
- Educate patient on and troubleshooting of home monitoring systems to ensure regular/scheduled transmissions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibility
Management of three to seven certified technicians. May include minimal travel requiremnets.
Required Education and Experience
- 5+ years experience with remote device monitoring
- Proficient in ECG interpretation
- Experience with remote monitoring of cardiac implantables using Merlin, Latitude, Biotronik, and Carelink. This includes the enrollment, workflow and interpretation of transmitted data.
- IBHRE CCDS, or IBHRE CDRMS credentialing required
- RN, Certified Cardiographic Technician
- Basic understanding and experience with EMR software.
- 3+ years experience in sub-leadership/leadership position with process implementation and workflow management skills.
- Ability to effectively and efficiently educate patients on their home monitoring procedures.
- Analysis/Experience with non-diagnostic ambulatory cardiac monitoring including holter and MCT tests.
- Must be flexible and takes pride in providing a positive experience for the patient.
- Confident and professional and able to work independently within a team.
- Definitely strong working knowledge/experience with computers.
- Professional “people skills”
- Fluent English, both written and spoken. Second language a plus. Excellent writing skills
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point (Access exp.+), Google docs
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Knowledge of remote monitoring platform (Medtronic, Abbott, Boston Scientific, Biotronik and Sorin) management preferred.
