POSITION SUMMARY

Join Our Specialized Neuro-Rehabilitation Teams!

Join our specialized neuro-rehabilitation units, 4 West and 2 East, where you will make a profound impact on the lives of patients recovering from complex spinal cord and brain injuries. As a vital member of our team, you will care for patients with paraplegia, tetraplegia, traumatic brain injuries, and other complex neurological conditions in an environment dedicated to restoring hope and independence.

At Craig Hospital, exceptional care goes beyond clinical expertise—it’s built on compassion, consistency, and teamwork. We are seeking a dedicated Rehabilitation Technician I / Behavioral Attendant (Rehab Tech I / BA) to join our patient care team. This role, commonly known in the healthcare industry as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), works side-by-side with nursing staff, therapists, and physicians to support individuals recovering from spinal cord injuries (SCI), brain injuries (BI), and other complex neurological conditions.

As a vital member of the care team, you’ll help maintain a safe, supportive, and healing environment while assisting patients with daily living tasks, reinforcing therapeutic goals, and providing meaningful engagement throughout the rehabilitation process. This is an ideal opportunity for individuals passionate about hands-on care and making a direct impact on patients’ lives.

4 West: Advanced Spinal Cord Injury Care (SCI) (26 Beds)

  • Primary Population: Support direct care for patients with traumatic spinal cord injuries, including paraplegia and tetraplegia.

  • Diverse Diagnoses: Assist in the daily care of a small census of patients with spinal cord disorders like Guillain-Barré syndrome, West Nile virus, and transverse myelitis.

  • High-Acuity Skills: Gain advanced skills by assisting with complex wound prevention, monitoring for autonomic regulation, tracking neurogenic bowel and bladder programs, and supporting respiratory safety protocols (ventilators and tracheostomies).

2 East: Dual Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) & Brain Injury (BI) Specialties (19 Beds)

  • Primary Population: Deliver versatile hands-on care for spinal cord injury patients alongside a consistent population of brain injury (BI) patients.

  • Dynamic Environment: Adapt quickly in a vital overflow environment that addresses exceptionally high regional brain injury referrals.

  • Expanded Skill Set: Develop a unique, dual-specialty clinical toolkit by mastering both physical SCI assistance techniques and specialized brain injury safety, cognitive cuing, and behavioral rehabilitation strategies.
