- 40% - Demonstrates scientific/technical leadership by becoming process expert in assigned processes, including understanding the chemistry and physical properties, the process steps incl equipment operation, process limitations, costs and usage & yield.
- 25% - Technical project member from development through commercialization, including organization of project, communication of milestones/timelines/costs, plans experimental lab work. Collects, summarizes, analyses interdependent and complex data and takes conclusions based on data, and makes presentations, as appropriate, to disseminate best practice throughout the function. Responsible for the leadership and management of small projects.
- 25% - Works closely with Operations and Engineering to define testing, data collection and analysis for improving operational efficiency, output and safety for both short term and long term objectives. Work in manufacturing plant, laboratory, and pilot plant environments as needed.
- 10% - Anticipation, evaluation and implementation of trends and innovations in the area of expertise to deliver better performing solutions. Gives input to decisions for implementation of new technologies.
