Visual Alpha: Client Support Data Analyst Role (Tokyo Onsite)
Visual Alpha offers cloud based solutions helping both institutional asset owners and asset managers to improve portfolio monitoring, operation and reporting efficiency. Our cloud services are used by some of the biggest global investment consultants, pension funds and gatekeepers of alternative funds.

Role
Respond to client email inquiries about functionalities and data
Analyze financial document for data extraction and reconciliation
Work with dev team to fix data and app issues
Report to client support team manager, expected work volume is up to 20 hours per week
Requirement
Strong problem solving skills, self motivated
Good at using Excel formulas, good at data analysis
Knowledge of accounting or investment data analysis (better to have, not mandatory)
Basic knowledge of SQL, Javascript, HTTP/Web (better to have, not mandatory)
Fluent in English (reading, writing and speaking), Basic Japanese is a plus (need to analyze Japanese data)
Working Hours
At least 20 hours per week, during business hours (9am to 6pm JST).
Need to be on-site (in office) at least 2 days per week.
Minimum 6 months, prefer 12 months.
About the Company
Visual Alpha was founded in late 2019 in Tokyo, and currently has a team of about 15 people.
English is the first language used in the company, but the client support and sales team are fluent in Japanese. We have employees from the U.S., China, Japan. We have accepted interns from all around the world, including universities in the U.S., U.K., Mexico, Malaysia and Japan.
Our office is next to the Aoyama Ichome station of the Oedo Line and Ginza Line. We have flexible working hours and allow remote work, upon request.
