The Opportunity:

As a CACI Cloud DevSecOps Engineer you will help design, build, and maintain scalable software solutions for a mission-critical, cloud-native ecosystem. This role sits inside the Special Operations Command Europe (SOCEUR) Hybrid Threat Action Platform (HTAP) program team and is responsible for translating defined mission requirements into robust, reusable, and secure software tools on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The individual will contribute directly to the software development lifecycle, developing clean code, integrating APIs, and participating in peer code reviews. The individual will work collaboratively alongside data scientists, DevSecOps engineers, and mission owners to enhance and sustain a cutting-edge analytics environment for Allied, partner, and US operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and maintain scalable, resilient, and secure software tools and microservices for a cloud-native environment.
  • Contribute to the design of software subsystems, promoting code reuse and adhering to established engineering best practices.
  • Develop and integrate custom APIs, including those that expose AI/ML model outputs for enterprise applications.
  • Deploy and manage cloud-native infrastructure, including Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) clusters and Confidential Compute instances, using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the building, testing, and deployment of software.
  • Configure application monitoring, logging, and alerting using Google Cloud's operations suite (Cloud Logging/Monitoring) to maintain system health and performance.
  • Collaborate with security teams to perform regular patching, resolve vulnerabilities, and implement secure coding best practices (OWASP Top 10).
  • Participate in peer code reviews, maintain high-quality technical documentation, and collaborate to resolve technical issues.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • •    Must be a US Citizen possessing an active TS/SCI security clearance.
    •    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
    •    DoD 8570.01-M / DoD 8140 IAT Level II baseline certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE).
    •    3 to 5+ years of professional software development experience.
    •    Demonstrated proficiency in core programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Java, or Bash).
    •    Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes), including utilizing container registries.
    •    Familiarity with building and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins).
    •    Strong understanding of cloud networking (VPCs, firewall rules, load balancing) within a GCP environment.
    •    Google Cloud Professional Cloud Developer certification.

            Desired:

  • •    Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect or DevOps Engineer certification.
    •    Experience with big data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark or Apache Airflow.
    •    Experience working in a regulated DoD or Intelligence Community cloud environment.
