Softeon is seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our Cloud Operations team and play a key role in managing and optimizing our cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, and a strong background in infrastructure automation,
security and performance optimization. A valid AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Administrator certification is required for this role. This role is a hybrid role requiring on-site presence three days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, build and manage cloud infrastructure using platforms like AWS, Azure, or similar.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to implement cloud-native architectures and CI/CD processes.
• Monitor cloud systems for performance, availability, and cost-efficiency.
• Enforce cloud governance, compliance, and security best practices.
• Support our clients by troubleshooting and resolving issues across cloud environments and applications.
• Maintain documentation for infrastructure architecture and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• At least one year of experience as a Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role
• Mandatory: One of the following valid certifications:
o AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional
o Microsoft Certified – Azure Administrator
o Oracle Cloud Architect – Associate or Professional
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, Go)
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Deep understanding of cloud security, identity management, and networking.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud deployments.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
• Proficiency in cloud cost optimization and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, ELK).
