About the role
- We are seeking a Cloud Software Engineer to support mission-critical cyber operations within our Cyber Mission business unit. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain secure cloud-based applications that automate complex workflows and enable mission operators to execute high-priority national security missions. Working in an Agile, DevOps-focused environment, you will leverage modern cloud technologies to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing software solutions.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, test, and maintain cloud-based software applications.
- Support the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, integration, testing, deployment, and troubleshooting.
- Develop system enhancements and performance improvements to support operational stability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver mission-focused capabilities.
- Support CI/CD pipeline development, automation, and DevOps practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across distributed systems.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship with an active TS/SCI clearance with current Polygraph.
- 8+ years of software development/engineering experience supporting requirements analysis, development, integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field preferred.
- A Bachelor’s degree may substitute for two years of experience.
- A Master’s degree may substitute for four years of experience.
- Acceptable fields include Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Must possess one of the following certifications:
- AWS Certified Developer – Associate
- AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional
- Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
- Experience with full-stack development using Java and JavaScript.
- Experience with Java, Spring Framework, and JUnit.
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue.js.
- Experience developing and integrating REST APIs and JSON-based services.
- Experience with Elasticsearch/ELK, Redis, and MongoDB.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized applications.
- Experience with AWS cloud services.
- Experience using Git/GitLab and CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI/CD or Jenkins.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing secure, cloud-native applications in mission-critical environments.
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies.
- Experience supporting DevOps automation and continuous delivery practices.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with distributed systems and enterprise-scale applications.
- Ability to work collaboratively while independently driving technical solutions.

The pay range for this role is:
240000.00 - 255000.00 USD per year (Annapolis Junction, MD)
