Job description

This role is responsible for overseeing daily CNC operations within a fast-paced, high-volume production line environment where meeting output targets, maintaining quality standards, and minimizing downtime are critical to operational success.

Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Lead daily CNC production activities, ensuring workflow efficiency and adherence to production schedules.
  • Drive performance to meet output targets, quality standards, and departmental KPIs.
  • Troubleshoot programming, tooling, and mechanical issues to minimize downtime and production disruptions.
  • Monitor production timelines and coordinate with internal teams to maintain continuous workflow.
  • Support and implement process improvements to increase throughput and reduce waste.

    Safety & Compliance

    • Reinforce adherence to all health and safety policies and PPE requirements.
    • Promote safe machine operation and proper material handling practices.
    • Identify and address workplace hazards or operational risks proactively.
    • Support a strong safety culture across the production floor.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 2+ years of hands-on CNC machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment (cabinetry, door, panel, or similar production setting preferred).
    • Experience operating CNC equipment in a fast-paced, high-volume production line environment.
    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving experience with CNC systems.
    • Advanced measuring skills in imperial and metric systems.
    • Strong mathematical aptitude (unit conversions, ratios, percentages).
    • Proficient with CNC software, production tracking systems, and Microsoft Office.
    • Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
    • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs as required.

    Work Conditions

    • In-person role based in a manufacturing facility.
    • Must be flexible to work day or night shift based on operational requirements.
    • Fast-paced, high-volume production line environment.
    • Physical activity required (lifting, standing, operating machinery).
    • Must be eligible to work in Canada
