The Computer Science/Information Technology Department at the Community College of Baltimore County is seeking day and evening adjunct faculty for all campuses.  Preferred candidates are enthusiastic about content and pedagogy, use best teaching practices, and are committed to student learning. Preference will be given to applicants who present evidence of excellence in teaching and those who through education and experience demonstrate ability to teach across multiple Computer Science and Information Technology disciplines. 



Adjunct Level 1 - $1,085 per credit hour.

Campus Locations: Essex, Dundalk, Catonsville & Owings Mills

Position Duties

Required:

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. (unofficial transcripts required with application)
  • Two years teaching experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Work experience as a computer professional
  • Related IT certifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Teach assigned Computer Science/Information Technology (CSIT) courses in accordance with learning objectives and common course outlines of the college.
  • Mentor students and contributes to the success of the Computer Science/Information Technology program.
  • Support the community college philosophy through commitment to success of students with diverse goals, backgrounds and learning styles.
  • Commitment to the mission of the community college.
  • Perform related duties as required.
  • Maintain currency in field(s) through professional development and scholarly activities.
