- Supervise and manage construction staff and workers within the designated section, overseeing the execution of delegated tasks.
- Prepare and administer requisitions for necessary supplies and materials, ensuring timely and budget-conscious completion of the construction project.
- Analyze project specifications to determine appropriate construction methods while adhering to specified quality standards.
- Collaborate with supervisory personnel, owners, sub-contractors, and design professionals to address a spectrum of issues, including work procedures, complaints, and construction challenges.
- Analyze project cost reports to maintain financial transparency and accountability.
- Organize and direct on-site activities related to the construction of structures.
- Investigate and report on damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites, ensuring adherence to proper procedures.
- Conduct and document quality assurance and safety inspections throughout the construction process, ensuring compliance with acceptable work environment standards and proper functioning of tools and equipment.
- Demonstrate expertise in construction methods, technologies, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts.
- Oversee and manage construction staff and workers within the section, delegating tasks effectively.
- Conduct periodic performance appraisals for direct reports and other staff members.
- Monitor the hiring and termination of construction workers, determining appropriate remuneration in coordination with the site Manager.
- Lead the construction team with a focus on health, safety, and environmental considerations, performance quality, methods and procedures, productivity, time management, and optimal resource utilization.
- Attend consultant or client meetings to identify requirements, address obstacles, and evaluate effective alternative business solutions when necessary.
HSE Duties:
- Lead and supervise construction crews, ensuring the safe and efficient performance of tasks while strictly adhering to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols.
- Conduct pre-task briefings to communicate specific hazards and safe work practices associated with planned activities.
- Monitor the work environment for potential hazards and takes immediate action to address them, maintaining a proactive approach to safety.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a relevant Major.
- MA Construction Degree (preferred).
- Certified PMP (Preferred).
Experience:
- +12 years of experience.
