Job Description and Duties
The Family Engagement & Empowerment Division (FEED) California Department of Social Services (CDSS) is seeking a Analyst II/I to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in strengthening continuous quality improvement across counties by analyzing state and county-level data to identify specific programmatic and operational challenges within CalWORKs welfare-to-work programs. The ideal candidate will provide program oversight and technical assistance through analysis and verbal/written communication. The successful candidate will use both data insights and direct communication with Human Service Agencies to drive meaningful improvements. This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys problem solving, data analysis, and collaborating closely with partners to help shape solutions that improve outcomes for communities. Essential functions include: communication and the ability to maintain effective working relationships, ability to organize and set priorities. Written products will be developed through the use of Microsoft software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.). Working with other computer software programs may be required.

Working Conditions
This position may be eligible for Hybrid work. In-person attendance is required based on the operational needs of the position and in accordance with Executive Order N-22-25 the Statewide Hybrid Telework Policy, Government Code section 14200, and any applicable department telework requirements. The successful candidate must reside in California at the time of appointment. Proof of California residency may be required.
