Under minimal supervision responsible for creating cyber-intelligence solutions to prevent internal or external attacks or attempts to infiltrate company email, data, e-commerce and web-based systems. Implements and supports technologies deployed across application, network/perimeter, data, endpoint, identity & access, and mobility domains.  Researches attempted or successful efforts to compromise systems security and designs countermeasures. Provides information to management regarding the negative impact on the business caused by theft, destruction, alteration or denial of access to information and systems.  Mentors those in less senior positions.

Additional Job Details:

  • The cyber security advisor for the cloud security team will be responsible for the implementation of security cloud architecture, which includes improving and developing new designs and security strategies across all types of cloud-based applications, services, and systems. Lead the efforts that shape the organization’s security policies and standards for use in cloud environments
  • Responsible for collaborating with all the stakeholders in defining security architectures on various cloud computing platforms, including  thorough technical documentations and SOPs
  • Interpret security and technical requirements into business requirements and communicate security risks to relevant stakeholders ranging from business leaders to technology teams
  • Collaborate with application developers to deliver creative solutions to difficult technology challenges and business requirements 
  • Direct and influence multi-disciplinary teams in implementing and operating Cyber Security controls
  • Responsible for automating security controls and remediation to provide improved metrics and operational support
  • Provide subject matter expertise on information security architecture and systems engineering to other IT and business teams for cloud services consumption
  • Keep up with emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and controls on cloud technologies
  • Identify and execute new security technologies and best practices into enterprise cloud offerings
Skills/Knowledge/Experience Considered a Plus:
  • Hands-on application development or system programming, using C++, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript, etc.
  • Experience in information security
  • Experience with cloud technology platforms, preferably GCP, Azure, and OCI
  • DevOps knowledge and experience with cloud deployment, build and test automation technologies like terraform, ansible, chef, puppet, docker, Jenkins, etc.
  • Experience with shift-left DevSecOps methodology.
  • Practical experience with scripting languages like shell, Python, Powershell, etc to automate tasks.
  • Knowledge and experience of application development, modern development tools, frameworks, operating systems, and network.
  • Working experience with Agile, SAFe or other iterative software development methodology
  • Experience with vulnerability management and risk assessment.


Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems and/or equivalent formal training or work experience. Five (5) years of experience in IT information security.
