This individual will protect our managed clients' networks from cyberattacks and unauthorized access by monitoring, reviewing, and responding to security events.

About This Role:
- Respond to security tickets as they arrive
- Investigate and respond to security incidents in a timely and effective manner
- Monitor and analyze security events and logs to identify potential threats and suspicious activity
- Monitor and maintain security controls such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection software, MFA and other security tools
- Conduct vulnerability assessments to identify weaknesses in clients' systems and networks
- Review vulnerability assessments and preform remediations of identified issues
- Review patching status of endpoints
- Assist with the development and document security policies and procedures
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate security-related concepts to a broad range of staff.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Extremely detail-oriented and organized
- Ability to follow processes and policies to perfection
- Associate’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in a cybersecurity analyst role
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and security principles
- Experience with common Operating Systems and configurations
- Experience with security tools and technologies like EDR, IDS/IPS, Firewalls, vulnerability scanners and SIEM
- Experience in a managed services provider environment a plus
- Certifications like CompTIA Security+, CySA+ or equivalent a plus
