About the job

Our thirst for technology is a part of everything we do. The Data Center Engineering team takes the physical design of our data centers into the future. Our lab mirrors a research and development department -- cutting-edge strategies are born, tested and tested again. Along with a team of great minds, you take on complex topics like how we use power or how to run state-of-the-art, environmentally-friendly facilities. You're a visionary who optimizes for efficiencies and never stops seeking improvements -- even small changes that can make a huge impact. You generate ideas, communicate recommendations to senior-level executives and drive implementation alongside facilities technicians.

In this role, you will provide field mechanical engineering support and issue resolution for the Finland campus, supporting the Data Center Services (DCS) Technical Project Manager (TPM) in the localized design and delivery of the projects in line with the schedule, cost, quality, technical compliance and safety requirements.

You will serve as the primary contact between Google, the Project Management Consultancy (PMC), the Application Engineer (AE) and the Specialist Contractors (SPC), and coordinate with the PMC’s OR's and the SPC’s engineers for all mechanical field engineer efforts. You will be responsible for overseeing the appointed SPC’s mechanical installation activities and ensuring that the construction operations and SPC’s performance is in compliance with project EHS, quality and schedule requirements, whilst maintaining effective relationships when interfacing with project stakeholders.
