Job Description:
The Role
- As a data evangelist, you will be the thought leader in data driven decision making.
- Requires an individual with a background in a quantitative or technical field with experience in large and, at times, dirty data sets.
- You are a proactive learner, and have demonstrated success in using analytics to drive the growth of a product.
Purpose of the Role
- Develop data sets to enable operational and exploratory analysis
- Democratize data by building dashboards on data tools (eg Mode)
- Automate analysis and authoring pipelines through SQL and ETL framework (eg Python based Airflow)
- Identify product metrics and define levers of success
- Monitor and discover trends, patterns and root causes of changes
- Partner with team members to tell the story behind data and drive decisions
- Contribute to product roadmap through data based recommendations
- Prioritize areas of opportunity to drive growth and uplift user satisfaction
- Data evangelist to team members for best data and analytics practices
- 4+ years experience with quantitative analysis
- Advanced in SQL (any variation, we use PostgreSQL)
- Experience building data pipelines (eg Fivetran, Airflow)
- Understanding of statistics and experience using statistical methods (hypothesis testing, A/B testing, regressions)
- Ability to communicate the results of analyses with Product and Executive team to influence the strategy of the product
- Enjoy an environment of fast growth and ambiguity
- Experience in statistical languages (R, Python)
- Degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, Statistics, other technical fields or relevant work experience
