Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Database/Web Administrator / Data Engineer based in Phoenix, AZ to manage and optimize enterprise data assets. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in MS SQL, ETL processes, and data warehousing, and will be responsible for managing large datasets, building efficient data pipelines, and ensuring data integrity across multiple systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee data governance, transformation, and administration across enterprise databases.
  • Manage and maintain a data lake utilizing Microsoft SQL Server, ensuring performance, security, and reliability.
  • Design, develop, and execute complex SQL queries for data integration, validation, and reporting.
  • Normalize and optimize legacy data to improve tracking, reporting, and analytical capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including business, product, and analytics teams, to define requirements and support implementation.
  • Maintain ETL pipelines and perform data extraction, transformation, and loading tasks for structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across multiple data repositories.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and actionable insights to support business decision-making.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in SQL Server administration, data engineering, or data warehousing.
  • Strong experience with SQL query development, ETL processes, and data integration.
  • Hands-on experience managing large datasets and performing data validation and transformation.
  • Familiarity with data governance and performance optimization practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience producing reports and dashboards for business insights.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Python or PowerShell for scripting and automation.
  • SQL Development certifications or relevant data analytics credentials.
  • Knowledge of modern data warehouse platforms and Big Data technologies.
