The Global Data Center Operation team supports the company's fast growth by building and operating hyperscale datacenters. The team manages the end to end lifecycle of server fleet, providing cloud solutions and various infrastructure services ensuring that they are scalable and are reliable.
About the Role
We are seeking a datacenter facility operations specialist to deliver reliable, sustainable management of our hyperscale datacenter infrastructure, with global influence on critical facility processes.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the planning and construction of the CoLocation Data Center infrastructure project, track progress, facilitate communication, anticipate operational risks, be responsible for the testing, acceptance, and takeover of the infrastructure of the CoLocation Data center infrastructure project, and ensure the smooth delivery of the project.
- Responsible for the operation of CoLocation Data center infrastructure, ensuring stability, exploring optimization, and improving data center management;
- Own end-to-end change management for all high-risk datacenter maintenance activities to ensure uninterrupted facility operations
- Responsible for data center operation moderation, event reporting, and fault tracking and handling, to enhance data center service capabilities;
- Maintain collaborative partnerships with vendors, internal teams, and stakeholders to support seamless facility delivery
- Conduct regular audits and performance reviews of CoLocation Data Center providers’ maintenance programs, collaborating to improve facility upkeep effectiveness
- Support the DC Operations team as a Subject Matter Expert to understand and manage design limitations and risks.
- Supervise construction teams during Data Hall fit-outs, including end-to-end coordination of IT services, power system deployment, and cooling infrastructure implementation
Minimum Qualification(s)
- Diploma or professional certification in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering (or related facility engineering discipline), with 5+ years of datacenter facility operations experience
- Proven experience implementing facility power redundancy designs (2N, N+1 distributed architectures) in production environments
- Deep understanding of cooling redundancy strategies and concurrent maintainability requirements (N+1, N+2 designs) for uninterrupted operations
- Hands-on experience maintaining critical datacenter mechanical/electrical systems: generators, chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, UPS, and electrical sub-distribution infrastructure
- Strong communication skills with meticulous attention to detail for facility documentation and stakeholder coordination
Preferred Qualification(s)
- Ability to prioritize complex facility workstreams in fast-paced, ambiguous datacenter environments
- Working knowledge of TIA-942 and ASHRAE standards for datacenter power/cooling capacity calculations
- Experience managing vendor contracts, facility capital projects, or operational uptime programs
- Strong risk assessment and decision-making capabilities to resolve critical facility uncertainties while maintaining business continuity
