We are looking for the right candidate that will have the unique opportunity to build their experience as cloud devops engineer as well as growing their capabilities as a release engineer under our more senior staff. This unique position is cross functional in nature and you will be responsible for a variety of daily, weekly and monthly tasks as assigned by the senior team.
Role responsibilities:
Operate, measure, and monitor performance of existing production applications running on AWS & GCP.
Deployment of mobile applications ( IOS & Android )
Work closely with engineers and leadership to understand our product roadmap and to help make the right decisions to develop technology that is ready for scale
Implement platform automation tools and frameworks for automatic code deployment (CI/CD)
Manage, track and document changes to infrastructure (infrastructure as code)
Lead and document root-cause analysis for production incidents
Investigate and resolve infrastructure technical issues
Design, document, and implement processes for system troubleshooting and maintenance (playbooks)
Implement and maintain infrastructure alerting and monitoring systems
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, both independently and collaboratively
Building and maintaining continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs
Candidate qualifications:
Min 3 years experience in GCP. Strong understanding of GCP architecture and design fundamentals. Please do not apply if you have never worked in GCP..
Min 3 years experience in AWS. Good understanding of AWS architecture
Min 1 year experience in software development.
Experience working in a startup environment a major plus
Certifications in AWS/GCP preferred, or equivalent relevant experience
Programming and scripting skills required (Python; Bash; Groovy, PowerShell)
Experience with infrastructure as code frameworks (Terraform, CloudFormation)
Experience with serverless frameworks
Experience with CICD Tools (Jenkins, Microsoft App Center, Bitbucket Pipelines )
Experience with having moved services between GCP/AWS
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, web application security, and experience supporting multi-tier web application architectures
Knowledge of using git for scripts, configurations, and application code.
Experience with container technologies including but not limited to Docker, ECS, Kubernetes.
Experience in ensuring high-security integration for governance and compliance.
Ability to see opportunities for improvement, take ownership, and work closely with others to drive operational improvement.
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to correlate system behaviors based on known interdependencies between those systems.
