As a Devops Cloud Analytic Platform Engineer you will configure, integrate, design and support Devops in Cloud Analytic Platform environments. The type of underlying components that support the platform typically include, Linux as a base operating system, Hadoop ( HDFS, MapReduce ), Java Servlet\/JSP, NoSQL databases along with other components.  The ideal candidate will work well independently and as part of a team.  Due to the fact that the platform changes often, flexibility is mandatory and the ability to adjust while maintaining a can-do attitude is a requirement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the planning and design of existing and future platforms
  • Effectively and efficiently troubleshoot the system and the infrastructure that supports it
  • Routinely interact with software developers and data ingest teams
  • Provide input to develop the fault management, performance management, and security management of the platform

    Basic Qualifications:

    • DoD Security Clearance with TS\/SCI eligibility
    • BS degree in CS or equivalent experience
    • 5 Years of experience with Linux, Solaris, UNIX, ideally CentOS using SIMP
    • 5 Years of experience supporting Web architectures, including Tomcat, JBoss, and \/ or Apache Web
    • Experience with Java, Python, JavaScript, Perl,
    • Experience with virtualization software such as VMware
    • Knowledge of Cloud technologies, including Hadoop, HDFS, MapReduce
    • Experience with developing applications with Cloud-based technologies
    • Experience with agile development methodologies
    • 8570 Certification Compliance, CND-IS and Computing Environment

      Preferred Experience:

      • Certifications for Unix ( Linux, Solaris, Red Hat etc )
