BubbleUp is looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer who will bring their experience, best practices, and a collaborative attitude to help us deliver websites and apps efficiently. To be successful, one must have deep knowledge of web development and CI/CD processes, hosting infrastructure components and communicate with the development and operations team to deliver solutions that solve client’s business problems in the most efficient manner.
Responsibilities
- Implement DevOps infrastructure projects
- Design and implement secure automation solutions for development, testing, and production environments
- Manage our continuous integration and delivery pipeline
- Collaborate with development and management teams to suggest efficient solutions
- Implement industry best practices for system hardening and configuration management
- Secure, scale, and manage virtual environments
- Develop and maintain solutions for operational administration, system/data backup, disaster recovery, and security/performance monitoring
- Continuously evaluate existing systems with industry standards, make recommendations for improvement, share best practices with team on our monthly workshops
Skills & Experience
- 6+ years in web development
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required)
- Understanding of system administration in Linux environments
- Understanding of AWS cloud infrastructure concepts
- Proficiency in PHP, Bash and JavaScript scripting languages
- Experience with modern PHP and JS frameworks
- Experience in MySQL queries and tables structure optimization
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Excellent judgment, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Full understanding of software development lifecycle best practices
- Self-motivated individual that possesses excellent time management and organizational skills
