Jeppesen is looking for a DevOps engineer for our Digital Solutions & Analytics implementation department based in Gothenburg, Sweden. As DevOps engineer you will be a member of a completely new team that will support our internal implementation projects with managing their configuration environments, build pipelines and related tools – all with the aim that the implementation projects can work as efficiently as possible.

Besides managing the projects configuration environments and support the projects, the other part of the teams focus is in the area of cooperation with out product development team further developing the configuration environment component, working together with them to add improvements and other activities that will ensure that operation problems are not only addressed short-term but mitigated at core.

As this is a new team we are looking for persons that are curious, not afraid to reach out to other teams for guidance / support but also is not afraid to take the lead and define the Ways Of Working for this new team.

Parts of the implementation teams are running the configuration environment on internal virtual servers while others are running them within an AWS cloud. Long-term we are looking at gradually migrating all the teams configuration environments into the cloud. Based on this both experience for VM / server based deployments as well as cloud based deployments using kubernetes are required.

 

Experience and Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with the following experience and qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in a relevant technical role 
  • Strong experience providing DevOps support 
  • Proficiency in Python 
  • Experience with RHEL and RPM-based deployments 
  • Hands-on experience with cloud container technologies, particularly Docker and Kubernetes 
  • Experience working in AWS environments 
  • Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD pipelines 
  • Experience with GitHub Workflows and GitHub Actions 
  • Experience working with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases 
  • Advanced command of English, both written and verbal

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent field 
  • Experience with VS Code extensions 
  • Experience with test automation using Behave and Gherkin 
  • Experience with RST documentation 
  • Experience with Jeppesen Crew or Operations Planning applications

 

Relocation:

  • This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area of Gothenburg or relocate at their own expense.
