Job description

Job Description:

We're looking for a DevOps Engineer with experience of AWS, Docker and Kubernetes to join the talented development team in our vehicle telematics business.

Telematics is a big growth area for Radius, so there will be plenty of opportunity to keep your skills up to date and progress your career. We need someone who can balance technical excellence with pragmatic execution, ensuring our product evolves while meeting the demands of today’s challenges. We embrace an Agile way of working, but we know success also requires grit, ownership, and a willingness to step beyond conventional roles.

Specifically, you will play a role in deploying, monitoring and supporting the infrastructure for our product line using modern software development and DevSecOps practices.  There will be opportunities to learn as well as using your own experience to influence the team and platform.

What you'll be doing...

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure using AWS services (EC2, S3, Elastic IPs, Glacier, SQS, Lambda).
  • Manage and orchestrate containers using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Design and maintain a queue-based processing pipeline using RabbitMQ and AWS SQS for message and email queuing.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for system health and performance.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform
  • Work with development teams to streamline CI/CD processes.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, conduct root cause analyses, and ensure system reliability and uptime.
  • Ensure secure cloud operations, managing access controls and best practices.
  • Optimize cost, scalability, and performance of deployed resources.

What you'll be working with…

  • Kubernetes and Docker
  • AWS
  • Argo
  • Prometheus and Grafana
  • Terraform

What we're looking for...

  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer in AWS environments
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to take ownership of projects from design to implementation
  • Actively contribute to Agile events, inspect and adapt ways of working, and provide solutions to keep development on track
  • Experience securing cloud infrastructure and network security methods and techniques
  • Proactive: You don’t wait for direction; you identify what needs to be done and take action.
  • Resilient: Challenges don’t deter you—they energise you.
  • A Driver: You’re not just a contributor—you push the product and team forward with determination and a solutions-first mindset.
  • Collaborative Yet Assertive: You work well in teams but know when to stand your ground and advocate for the right approach.

What you can expect from us…

Meaningful work

You’ll be contributing to a critical telematics platform that supports connected vehicle solutions used by businesses globally.

A standout workspace

Based in our purpose-built Telematics HQ at Arden Square, Crewe, you’ll enjoy:
