Position Description:
The DevOps Site Reliability Engineering consultant is responsible for environment support, reliability, and operational stability across development, test, and pre production environments.
This role combines hands on environment configuration with platform support, observability, and automation to help delivery teams maintain predictable and recoverable working environments.
This role is part of an AI first software engineering organization where Artificial Intelligence is integrated throughout the software development lifecycle. Candidates must demonstrate practical experience leveraging AI to improve productivity, quality, and delivery outcomes using modern AI assisted development practices.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
.Ensure the reliability, availability, and operational performance of enterprise cloud platforms and environments.
.Configure and support development, test, integration, and pre production environments.
.Deploy, administer, and optimize Kubernetes clusters and supporting cloud services.
.Develop and maintain IaC for automated environment provisioning and configuration.
.Implement observability, logging, alerting, and dashboards to improve operational insight and response.
.Troubleshoot infrastructure, platform, deployment, and environment issues across multiple environments.
.Automate routine operational tasks, environment validation, and health checks.
.Promote AI assisted engineering practices and BMAD to improve reliability and operational efficiency.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
.8+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
.Strong hands on experience supporting Development, Test, and Integration environments.
.Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and cloud native infrastructure.
.5+ years of hands on experience using modern software engineering and DevSecOps toolchains, including VS Code, GitLab, JFrog Artifactory/Nexus, Ansible, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), OpenShift Pipelines/Argo CD, and SonarQube.
.Strong experience administering Kubernetes and container platforms.
.Hands on experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM, or equivalent).
.Experience with monitoring, observability, logging, and operational automation.
.Demonstrated experience working within an AI enabled Software Development Lifecycle (AI SDLC), leveraging AI assisted development tools to improve software engineering productivity, quality, testing, documentation, and delivery outcomes.
.Experience using the Business Model Assisted Development (BMAD) framework or comparable AI native practices.
.Strong understanding of DevSecOps, CI/CD, cloud networking, and platform security.
.Excellent troubleshooting, automation, analytical, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
.Experience supporting large scale enterprise modernization or cloud migration programs.
.Experience with Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic, or similar observability tooling.
.Experience with GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps, Argo CD, or similar DevOps platforms.
.Experience designing and supporting highly available, mission critical cloud platforms.
.Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, or SRE certifications.
.Experience within highly regulated industries.
.Experience leveraging AI assisted operational tools to improve platform reliability and incident response.
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $80,000–$130,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
