We are seeking a DevSecOps/CM Engineer.
Located on-site in Chesapeake, VA.
ESN is seeking an experienced DevSecOps/Configuration Management Engineer to support a contract with Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC), Atlantic, in Norfolk, VA. The contract to support NIWC LANT consists of Independent Validation & Verification, Operations, Sustainment, and Installation support. The Maintenance Figure of Merit (MFOM) systems provides near real-time material-based readiness reporting to the Defense Readiness Reporting System-Navy (DRRS-N) and provides three additional primary capabilities to the Fleet including Ashore and Afloat systems. This support includes manual and automation of software testing, Scrum Master, transitioning to Cloud, management of JIRA/JAMA/Confluence, and project support.
Principal Duties/Responsibilities:
- The DevSecOps/CM Engineer plans and executes system development and security strategies. They develop best practices and infrastructure as code for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) of software development pipelines and production systems.
- Develops documentation to enable rapid adoption and utilization of standard architectures.
- Designs, develops, documents, analyzes, tests, integrates, debugs, and analyzes system architectures to provide scalable and reliable services composing of custom software and commercial solutions.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of DevOps or DevSecOps Engineering experience.
- 3+ years of experience with Cloud technologies like AWS (preferably AWS Architect or Systems Operator certified).
- Security+ or equivalent (required).
- IAT Level II (required).
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and web technologies.
- Proficient with a variety of software development languages, tools, and techniques.
- Proficient with a variety of DevOps tools and techniques.
- Proficient in scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell, Ansible Playbooks, Python, and YAML.
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) concepts and automated tools such as Docker, Jenkins, Rational Team Concert, JIRA, Git Lab, Puppet, and/or Cucumber.
- Proficient with security protocols.
- Knowledge of software development and systems development lifecycle practices, preferably in an agile development environment.
- Experience in software security testing, methodologies, and frameworks.
- Hands on experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, and content filtering.
- Familiar with DoD DevSecOps Reference Architecture.
- Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong analytical skills.
