DIE-CAST MAINTENANCE ASSOCIATE:

Description of Position:

Support in all aspects of daily die-cast operations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, repair (all types), production support, machine downtime solutions, efficiency improvements, die rebuilds, component part rebuilds, crucible replacement (planned/unplanned), and all other die-cast support activities as needed.

Duties:

• Work closely with die-cast team members to complete job assignments in a timely manner

• Support production with planned and unplanned work activities as assigned

• Support all types of machine breakdown repairs including hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical

• Support die repairs, die rebuilds, troubleshooting, and other assigned activities

• Work directly with the Die-Cast Maintenance Team Leader for downtime reduction and efficiency improvements

• Participate in shift meetings and other assigned meetings

• Participate in all required training activities to improve and master assigned job duties

• Perform robot recovery and support robot training activities when requested

• Support removal and installation of die-cast equipment

• Support new model activities as assigned

• Communicate effectively for shift pass-down, including die-cast machine performance and breakdown follow-up

• All other duties as assigned

Desired Qualifications:

Education

• Technical high school education or any combination of equivalent experience and education

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience utilizing team-based problem-solving techniques

Computer Skills

• Microsoft Word

• Microsoft Excel

• Plex or comparable ERP system

Personal/Other Skills

• Mechanical aptitude and strong knowledge of mechanical systems

• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

• Ability to define problems and resolve them quickly

• Familiar with OSHA regulations

• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and situations

• Self-starter who works well with others and demonstrates a positive, can-do attitude

• Understanding of technical drawings including hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and ladder logic

• Good time management skills and discipline to self-prioritize daily activities
