Join Leap Support Services and Make a Real Difference

Leap Support Services is growing, and we’re looking for compassionate and reliable people to join our team as Disability Support Workers across the North-West Coast.

In this rewarding role, you will provide person-centered support to individuals living with a range of disabilities, helping them build independence, connect with their community, and enhance their overall quality of life.

Flexible Work Opportunities

This role offers flexible working hours, making it ideal for people looking for short shifts, longer shifts, weekend work, or a varied roster that fits their lifestyle.

No Experience? No Problem – Training Provided

You don’t need previous disability support experience to apply. If you are compassionate, dependable, and motivated to help others, we encourage you to apply.

We provide full training and ongoing support, giving you the skills and confidence to succeed in the role.

We currently have immediate start opportunities available, with casual and part-time positions offered depending on your availability and suitability.

About the Role

We are currently seeking support workers for a mix of roles including:

Community Support (1:1)
Supporting participants in the community with daily activities, appointments, social engagement, and skill development. Many of these shifts are shorter, flexible community-based supports.

Complex & Behaviour Support
Supporting participants with higher or more complex needs, including those who may display behaviours of concern, using consistent and trauma-informed approaches.

Shift Work (Supported Accommodation)
In addition to the roles above, we also offer general shift work in supported accommodation settings. These shifts may involve assisting participants with daily routines, personal care, household tasks, and overnight support.

Shifts are available across days, evenings, weekends, sleepovers, and active nights, with work located throughout the North-West Coast from Wynyard to Latrobe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centered support tailored to each participant’s goals and needs
  • Assist with daily living activities including personal care, manual handling, and medication support
  • Support participants to access the community and build independence
  • Respond calmly and effectively to challenging situations
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with participants
  • Work collaboratively within a supportive team environment
