East Veterans Elementary is seeking a dedicated Education Support Professional for our lower elementary emotional behavioral program. This substantially separate program is designed to provide a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment for elementary students with emotional and behavioral disabilities. Our primary goal is to equip students with the social-emotional skills, coping strategies, and academic foundation necessary to navigate their emotions effectively, build positive relationships, and achieve academic success, ultimately enabling them to reintegrate into less restrictive educational settings when appropriate.

Job Requirements
Responsibilities:
Provide classroom and educational support services to students under the supervision of a classroom teacher.
Help create and maintain a structured and predictable classroom environment.
Assist students with self-regulation strategies and coping mechanisms.
Qualifications:
High school diploma, equivalent, or successful completion of ParaPro test required;
Associate's degree or higher preferred.
Experience and/or education working with children with special needs, preferred
Ability to work cooperatively with classroom teacher(s), school adjustment counselors, and administrators.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, flexibility, and a genuine desire to support students with unique needs.
Track record of professionalism and effective collaboration in the workplace.
Status: 32.5 Hours Weekly
Salary: Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications, in accordance with the Gloucester Public Schools ESP salary schedule range of $29,355.00 - $35,535.00. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and retirement options.
