General Summary

Designs, develops, tests, and integrates electronic components and systems for use on a wide variety of electronic devices for the purpose of advancing operational solutions through advanced solutions. Works closely with electronics hardware and software OEMs to design, analyze, manufacture and test control and power electronic modules and assemblies and implement the technology into the operation. Interacts with customers, Operations, OEMs, and equipment vendors to resolve technical issues in support of high-volume reverse logistics operations.

This position will be responsible for…..

  • Delivers innovative electronic solutions and revolutionary new capabilities to solve complex electronic system challenges in the operation.
  • Synthesizes production and test data to identify value added services (change in grading criteria, change in processes, etc.)
  • Verify designs and create production test specifications, software, and system-level test solutions required for sustaining a high-volume testing environment of wireless enabled products.
  • Create documentation for programmable circuits, device and define component/system level interface requirements.
  • Deliver component-level electronics diagnosis and fault resolution. Perform initial device characterization and validation of new models for incoming inspection of wireless mobile and data devices.
  • Apply electronic engineering principles and analysis to the resolution of technical problems; perform development, design, and analysis of new products; provide design validation testing for new products; interpret design results and data; confer with other engineering personnel as to the validity of their work product.
  • Use computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to formulate and test electronic designs.
  • Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
  • Conduct Cpk and other statistical analyses on parametric data gathered.
  • Prepare test and analysis reports. Develop test fixtures for support testing, flashing, and receiving.
  • Monitors process profile and recommends/design process improvement changes.
  • Develop and optimize test systems by analyzing parametric data utilizing statistical analysis tools. Collect and interpret quantitative data to discover underlying causes of test system issues.
  • Work closely with internal and external customers to ensure delivered products meet customer needs.
  • Utilize suppliers to provide needed components in a cost-effective manner.
  • Provide engineering support to technicians and operations that utilize the designed test equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with employees, customers, suppliers, and executive management. Contribute to company overall strategies and goals, training program, policies, & procedures.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field and 3 -5 years of relevant experience required.
  • Strong fundamental knowledge of communication, control and electronic system design and its application in automated industrial designs including specifications of power, inspection and communication systems.
  • Experience utilizing electronics engineering tools, i.e. signal generators, spectrum and power analyzers and other relevant test equipment
  • Experience with debug and repair of electronics and electromechanical devices
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements of wireless consumer devices including FCC, PTCRB, CTIA, ETIS, TIA/EIA.
  • Cp/Cpk, SPC, Pareto charts, and Gage R&R execution and analysis is a plus.
  • High degree of English fluency and communication proficiency - both verbal and written
